My parent’s were kind of enough to watch my son for the day so off my husband and I went alone to the city. We had a nice lunch at Rare, which is a great bar and grill spot with a rooftop garden. It was my first time eating at Rare and I recommend the reuben frickle…definitely a different but fun starter and of course my burger was delicious. Afterwards we took advantage of the beautiful weather and walked the city for a bit. As much as I love the Summer, the 70 degree weather with zero humidity was so nice and reminded me that it’s time to think about back to “work” shopping for the Fall season!
We ended the afternoon with few more adult beverages and walked through the Grand Central Market before hopping back on the train to Connecticut.
It was an easy day and a nice way to clear the mind for a few hours especially by ending the night with a red velvet cupcake and a piece of chocolate mousse cake from Zaro’s Bakery right out of the plastic container. Classy!
