Over the weekend my cousin got married. The location was set on a beautiful lake and vows were exchanged with the sun setting in the background, it was truly a lovely sight. And as my new cousin said his vows which were so beautifully written he spoke about their special day happening at the end of summer and the beginning of fall. It was such a sweet comparison to what they are going through, change of the season and weather as well as a change in their relationship. Living in New England you never know what the weather is going to be like, it hailed in April on my brother’s wedding, it was warm and sunny in October on my sister’s wedding and it was super hot in August on my wedding day but then poured like crazy in the evening, thank goodness my husband and I decided to go with a tent at the very last-minute!
Thank you summer for being so sweet and special to me. And here’s to a new type of weather headed for New England. Bring on the jackets, boots, fall tv, apple pie making, pumpkin picking and cozy hoodiesl…I am ready for it all!
